Chris Iacovides
Chief Executive Officer
Chris is a qualified accountant, member of the Institute of Charted Accountants in England and Wales and a UK, Cyprus and Romania licensed Insolvency Practitioner. He is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Singapore, and his name is on the approved list of insolvency practitioners for the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).
Chris lived and practised in London for 30 years before returning to Cyprus. Now based between Cyprus and Dubai, he often receives instructions from accountants, lawyers, bankers and other professionals across multiple jurisdictions (primarily common law) often leading to insolvency related appointments.
With more than 43 years’ experience in the field of restructuring and insolvency and thousands of insolvency appointments to his credit (including many high-profile cases), he boasts a wealth of experience in all aspects of personal and corporate insolvency.
Chris specializes in cross border insolvency, multi-jurisdictional fraud and international asset tracing. Focused on achieving positive results, Chris’ modus operandi is “we will not make a drama out of a crisis”.
Andri Antoniou
Director - Licensed Insolvency Practitioner
Andri is a solicitor registered with the Law Society of England and Wales, a licensed Insolvency Practitioner in Cyprus and is on the approved list of Insolvency Practitioners in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).
Andri specialises in complex cross border insolvency matters, asset tracing and multi jurisdictional fraud. In the scope of her insolvency appointments Andri has obtained emergency interim relief including disclosure and worldwide freezing orders. Andri has worked on insolvency cases spanning many jurisdictions.
Prior to joining CRI, Andri worked for the UK’s Insolvency Service where she qualified as an Examiner.
Andri is a Member of the Council of INSOL Europe for Cyprus, serves as Country Coordinator for Cyprus for INSOL Europe, and is Co-Coordinator of the Committee of Insolvency Practitioners licensed by the Insolvency Department of Cyprus. Andri is also a member of IWIRC Europe’s Steering Committee.
Ninos Koumettou
Director – Licensed Insolvency Practitioner
Ninos is a Chartered Accountant, a Fellow of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals and a UK, Cyprus and Romania licensed Insolvency Practitioner.
He has over 45 years’ experience in corporate restructuring and insolvency across a wide range of sectors.
Tassos Panayiotou
Director - Investigations and Asset Tracing
Tassos is a retired Chief of Police in Cyprus. During his colourful career, Tassos served:
As President of the Cyprus Police Association;
At the Public Prosecutor’s Office;
As Department head within the Central Intelligence Service;
As Commander of the Criminal Investigation Department.
For his long service and achievements, he was honoured and decorated by INTERPOL.
With his experience and connections, Tassos contributes positively to our asset tracing and investigations.
Marios Kofteros
Director - Licensed Insolvency Practitioner
Marios Kofteros is a Director at CRI, he is a licensed Insolvency Practitioner in Cyprus and is also on the approved list of insolvency practitioners in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).
Marios primarily focusses on cross-border insolvencies, involving several jurisdictions, including British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Belize, Bahamas, Seychelles and Bermuda, to mention a few.
Marios is a holder of a Master’s degree from the University of Manchester.
Yiannis Koumettou
Director – Licensed Insolvency Practitioner
Yiannis Koumettou is a Chartered Accountant and licensed Insolvency Practitioner with extensive experience in corporate recovery, restructuring and insolvency. After qualifying with the ICAEW in 2007, he specialised in restructuring and later obtained his UK Insolvency Practitioner licence in 2014 having successfully passed the Joint Insolvency Examination Board (JIEB) examinations.
Yiannis advises directors, lenders and stakeholders in financially distressed situations and oversees a wide range of formal insolvency and restructuring appointments. His experience spans businesses from small owner-managed companies to large organisations with multi-million turnovers across a variety of sectors.
He is known for his pragmatic and commercially focused approach, helping clients navigate complex situations and achieve the best possible outcome in challenging circumstances.
Nicos Nicolaou
Economist and a Cyprus Licensed Insolvency Practitioner.
Having graduated with a degree in Economics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in 1989 he joined Iacovides Kimonos & Co, at the time, the only insolvency specialist firm in Cyprus, set up by our founding partner in 1988, where he gained considerable knowledge and experience in all aspects of personal and corporate insolvency.
In January 2011, Nicos teamed up with CRI focusing on corporate insolvency.
Andreas Efstathiou
CFO and Cyprus Licensed Insolvency Practitioner
Andreas is a certified accountant, fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Cyprus.
Having worked as an independent auditor for over a decade, he obtained considerable experience in audit before deciding to qualify, in 2018, as an Insolvency Practitioner.
Andreas focuses on forensic investigations.
Irina Misca
Cyprus and Romania Licensed Insolvency Practitioner
Irina is an experienced Insolvency Practitioner, having worked with one of Romania’s leading insolvency practices for over a decade and dealt with several complex cases, spanning multiple industry sectors, such as health, retail and real estate.
She has extensive experience in restructuring and turnarounds.
Eleni Kyriakou
Legal Advisor
Eleni Kyriakou joined CRI as an Internal Legal Advisor, where she advises across a wide range of personal and corporate insolvency matters. In her role, she assists officeholders throughout insolvency procedures and works closely with CRI’s external legal counsel to ensure effective case management.
Eleni graduated from the University of Essex where she acquired her Bachelor of Laws degree, she also holds an LLM in Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution from the University of Law.
Eleni is fluent in both English and Greek.
